New QLON Fireseal Intumescent Seal
Schlegel are pleased to announce that they have successfully tested the QDS 650 QLON Fire Seal to the exacting standards required by Exova Warrington Fire Research, to achieve the internationally respected Certifire Approval.
To gain this accreditation, the seal has been
approved to BS 476, part 22 in two door samples, and has successfully
demonstrated a 10% overrun. In addition, the seal has exceeded the
requirements for the resistance to the passage of smoke, having tested
successfully to BS 476, Part 31-1 both before and after 100,000 cycles.
The QDS 650 QLON Fire Seal now offers timber
fire door set manufacturers a single, easy to install product option to
meet all their perimeter seal requirements. It provides the weather
resistance synonymous with Schlegel products, superb noise reduction
properties, and 30 minute fire and smoke resistance.
